Rounded Plates

A rounded plate is a 1 x n Lego plate modified with hollow studs and rounded ends. The initial plates, released in 1981, had holes that would fit a connector at the ends and in some cases a cross hole in the center. The early rounded plates also had teeth on the ends and were part of the toothed system of elements. As that system was phased out many of these elements were replaced by similar, non-toothed versions.
