Wheel Dimensions

Early Wheels:    The dimensions of the early Technic tires (1977-1990) are:

width of tire (in mm) x inside diameter of tire (in mm)

Note that the id of the tire corresponds to the od of the hub. For the Registry, tires too small to have the dimensions molded on the sidewall were physically measured.

Later Wheels:    Starting with the motorcycle tire, 81.6 x 15 (1991), the dimensions molded on the sidewall changed to:

outside diameter of tire (in mm) x width of tire (im mm)

A speed rating, presumably based in the European rating system, was also added to the description.
