Spur Gears
A Spur Gear is a gear whose teeth are perpendicular to
the face of the gear. The Lego spur gears are not modifications of an
exsisting part but were a completely new type of element. Originally
introduced in 1977, the spur gears form the basis of many Technic
constructions. |
