Lego Flags

A collection of the various flags Lego produced, including Country Flags, Wavy Flags, Square Printed Flags, and Square Stickered Flags.

Lego Country Flag

Since the 1950's, Lego has produced a flag representing the countries that sell Lego. These country flags were in continuous release for four decades. They have been found in every variation of flag produced. Here's a brief description of the variations, shown in the table below.

Country - the country of the flag.
LDraw - computer presentation of the flag, for more info see LDraw.org.
Smooth - original version of the country flag, with a smooth base and smooth thin pole.
Notched - updated original flag with a notch in the base to aide removal.
Embossed - notched flag with a flat finial. The pattern is embossed into the plastic.
Ridged - updated notched flag with thicker, ridged pole to prevent breakage.
Sticker - blank square flag with opposing stickers attached to each side.

Lego Wavy Flags

In addition to the many country flags, Lego produced a few generic wavy flags, described in the table below.

Lego Printed Square Flags

After the wavy flags, Lego produced a simplier square printed flag. These flags included the notched base and ridged pole improvements. The table below shows an image, description, and some of the sets a flag appeared in.

Lego Stickered Square Flags

In addition to the square printed flags, Lego produced a blank square flag. Sets included a separate sticker sheet. The flag stickers were usually opposing stickers that attached to both sides of the flag. The table below shows an image of the flag with stickers attached, description, and some of the sets the stickered flag appeared in.
